Do Not Get Lost in a Sea of Despair
Do Not Get Lost in a Sea of Despair
It's a very difficult time in our country and our world, and it sometimes feels that there is no hope. Congressman John Lewis, a hero of the civil rights movement and constant voice for justice, sent out the following tweet that provided millions with a glimmer of it.
"Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble. #goodtrouble"
This letterpress poster was printed by hand using antique wood and metal type. The yellow background was produced with a method called pressure printing. Each print is a little bit unique.
This poster was produced in an extremely limited edition of 5. It will not be reprinted. But it gives me a glimmer of hope.
