​Intern with Fontlove Studio this summer! 

​Fontlove Studio, a small but growing letterpress and graphic design studio in Minneapolis, MN is seeking internship candidates to help with print and organizational projects this summer. The intern will be responsible for working with our metal and wood type collection to correctly catalog, proof and print each font. The ultimate goal will be to produce a book of proofs that will show clients and students the available typefaces for their projects. 

Additional responsibilities will include general studio maintenance, including type distribution and clean-up, press wash-up, and other organizational tasks. ​

This is an unpaid internship, requiring approximately 8 hours per week for 8-10 weeks. The intern will start after June 1st, but the ​exact timespan of the work can be flexible. 

Anyone with a love of ink and dusty type may apply! There are a few things that will make for a successful candidate: a passion for printing and design; being undaunted by dirty, meticulous work; ​experience with and knowledge of typefaces; demonstrated ability to drive a project from start to finish; pluck/moxie. Previous letterpress printing experience extremely helpful.
